Maybe I'll start blogging again.

Let's start with a few beach pictures. Here are my boys...

And here's me. Notice anything?

Yep, that's my 19 week pregnant belly. Due in October. And guess what? It's a GIRL.

Snapshots of Christmas '09

Thomas, the slowest present-opener ever. It took him all morning. (Meanwhile, Will's M.O. was more of the ripping paper/tossing gift to the side/on to the next wrapped item approach. He's a mover and shaker, that one.)
Thank you Catherine & Matt for possibly the most popular toy of the morning. The Stomp Rocket. He continues to shoot it all over the house. At me, his brother, and anything breakable. Really, sister, thanks for that :)
Another favorite item--the Hot Wheels Dinosaur set. He fell in love with it at Costco one day, and Santa just had to pick one up.
Can you see the joy on his face?
The razor scooter. Due to the crazy 20 degree temps down here, Will has been zooming (and I mean zooming) around the house on this because I refuse to go outside.
I didn't take many pictures in Colonial Beach (our camera was literally held together by duct tape and coins...a new one is on its way...), but here is Thomas on what he calls his "new big boy bike." This really is a cool contraption. It's been circling our downstairs too.

Cheese!

Go Team G!

So, we're back of course from Christmas and had a lovely time up in VA, and I'm sure I can dig up some pictures of that week... But for now, check out our little athletes in their new warm-up suits (thank you, mimi!). If only Colin & I could get matching sets. Then we'd be really cool :)
And to brag on our eldest--he can ride his bike without training wheels! Pretty good for a just-turned 4 year old!

And He's Two!

Little man, you already act like you're fifteen. Must be the whole second child thing. You're well in the throes of terrible two-ness yet still remain our blankey-clutching, thumb-sucking cuddler. You're totally a ladies' man and flirt with any female you meet while running errands with mommy. You've been known to shout "Hallelujah" in the middle of Harris Teeter. You also delight in chasing your family around the house with bristle block guns while gleefully shouting "I shoot people." (It's a boy thing, I'm hoping?) You love driving your car around the house, holding of course a lunch bag and doctor's kit--you so love your daddy. You go with the flow better than the rest of us. You both adore your brother and bite/hit him on an hourly basis. (Again, a brother thing?) You like candy, carbs, chocolate milk, chik-fil-a, italian food, and yogurt tubes. You are crazy tall--off the growth chart. You love sports, both on TV (to your dad's great amusement) and in the backyard. Everyone comments on what a sweet child you are, and it's so true.
Happy Birthday, Thomas!

And check out what big brother found at the party store amidst the streamers and balloons. It kind of freaks me out (which of course pleases him to no end).

Trick or Treat!

Our sweet football player & leopard thoroughly enjoyed their Halloween. We were unashamedly the first family out begging for candy in our neighborhood (no naps make for early bedtimes...) & braved the rain to knock on four doors (the kids didn't know any better!). Upon returning home, they stuffed every bit of their Snickers & Skittles into their mouths & soon after fell asleep. Good times.

Happenings

Between a really scary car accident & attack of the swine flu, we've been busy. Everyone is OK, but we've had enough excitement for now. Lest I give up on the blog altogether, here are a few pictures taken over the last 24 hours.

My big boy (& beloved Teddy) on his big boy bike.
Pumpkin picking. They were not in good moods.

He looks happy here, but you should see him when he attacks his brother. Yes, sweet little T has a bit of an aggressive streak and has taken up biting & throwing as favorite pastimes.

Mud

While Colin & I explored W'Burg, Will & Thomas were living it up with their grandparents. Will dined on Twizzlers & made a Nascar (his choice) Build-a-Bear at Mimi/Grandad's, while Thomas was spoiled with cookies & swimming at Omi/Opi's. I have a feeling all four grandparents are currently enjoying some peace and quiet. We can be one loud family.

It was a long trip home, complete with a parking lot fender bender, monsoon-like rain, & multiple bathroom/food stops. Will watched Car Movie for 4 hours straight, and Thomas kicked Colin repeatedly in the back of the head. We are glad to be home.
